Community Treasures Art Show
Collecting your treasures.
We have held art exhibits at the Altenheim since 2008 starting with "Artists in Residence" which was open to the public. At that time we had six professional artists living here. A good time was had by all including a large group of flamenco singers and dancers. In 2010 we held Pro Arts Open Studios here through 2014 and were known as Priority Artists. In 2015 we began to have art shows for those that lived at the Altenheim and it was no longer open to the general public. In 2017 we found our groove again and founded Community Treasures Art Show. That was open to both those from the Altenheim and Artists who lived well beyond the Oakland borders.
